This beautiful snake is a baby female TANGERINE HONDURAN MILK SNAKE, which hatched in the Wirral in north-western England on 3rd August 2025.
In the wild, Honduran milk snakes are found in tropical rainforests in Honduras, Nicaragua and northern Costa Rica. Like other milk snakes they have a very distinctive tri-colour pattern which serves as a warning to predators that they might be venomous, even though they are absolutely not!
I am very much looking forward to watching this little one grow and change in the coming months and will be sure to share her progress here!
